I started seeing Dr Kayal to help with a 5 year old back injury that no other doctor was able to correctly diagnosis and help heal. He completely understood the injury, prescribed the correct injections, and then PT. I was better in months.
Dr. Robert Kayal was my choice for a 2nd opinion. No regrets. The PAs are amazing. I did ask Dr Kayal once why I don't see him instead of a PA his response, would you prefer I do your office visits or surgery. He is aware of everything and his PAs are excellent , especially, Michael Kayal. My third procedure with him.
He just last week replaced the first of my two new knees. Nothing but praise for Dr Kayal and his staff. My PA, Jim is incredible at his job and keeps me completely informed.
How does a physician believe that you need a joint replacement, schedule an arthroscopic "repair", and come out and tell the patient's loved ones that the repair wasn't going to work, and close the patient back up.
Why, when faced with such irreparable damage do they not opt to prepare the patient for the correct, required surgery?
Was recommended by a friend. My daughter had bone spurs in her hip and torn labrum. Our doctor is awesome. Never rushing us, always explaining everything in full detail. We have seen him at every visit. I recommend Highly!!!
Behind the times, wont do a phone consultation even though I have MRI and X Rays already. Not to mention the receptionist was probably the rudest person at a business establishment I have ever spoken too. Considering that experience I would not put my needs for surgery in their hands.
Why not come out and tell the family, it's not going to work. This is what we're going to do to fix it. The recovery time and pain would be so much shorter were the correct surgery performed at that time. Having to wait for three to four months post surgery to schedule the corrective measure while the cortisone injections dissipate is definitely not the way to getting one up and on the road to recovery sooner.
